The Captain's plane is only VFR so that is out of the question....and believe me, I don't feel like listening to the Captain nag about the weather all the way up and back...Southwest sounds better to me!!!

Sanford reminds me of a story about 2 years back. Do you remember that big blizzard in March of 97 ? I was in a small plane then, a Grumman Cheetah to be exact. While enroute to Sanford, I got caught up in moderate to occassional severe winds. Now mind you, flying in anything that says "severe" is not good. As my head bounced off the ceiling, now and again, I slowly made my way to Sanford, constantly fighting the controls to keep it straight. Finally, nearing the last leg of the trip, I find out that Sanford was experiencing 40Kt winds, and the runway is snow covered with ice. As if the 40 Kt winds weren't bad enough, snow covering the runway makes for an interesting situation because my plane steers by use of brakes !! Anyhow, I live to tell the story, and it was odd that as soon as we touched down and exited the plane, the weather really came down hard. We were snowed in for a week. But as they say, any landing you walk away from is a good one !!
To bodely go , where few men have gone before.....and to live to tell about it. hey, you think Benson would get a kick out of me playing with my toy communicator. Beam us a BUYOUT Mr. Scott !!
