Hardly. First, it's not news. The market doesn't discount the collapse in DRAM twice. Second, TXN retains some upside when DRAM recovers by taking MU stock and converts.

Why would this be interpreted as bad news? Too me it's all positive. TI is following through on their strategy along with cutting costs and restructuring. Some added material charges seem like a small price to pay for this positive news. For anyone long on TI stock this only enhances the potential IMHO. Good luck to all.
