Joe on a scale of 10 being the highest I would rate that analysis a 3. And how would you rate it?

The other big player in that sector, 3Com (COMS), rallied 2-5/8 to 27-1/4, on more takeover speculation. Germany's Siemens is rumored to be considering a bid for 3Com.

W.F.

I just finished reading the briefing.com article. I give it
a 2 (with a downward bias) out of 10. It's pretty bad.
It's as if they took a poll of investor sentiment, tabulated
the results, and spit it out. So, it jives good with
present 3Com perceptions and general attitudes. If I
bought into that, I would have dropped 3Com a long time ago.

One still has to read this drivel, to somewhat gauge
market perceptions, unless one is truly a Buffet type
investor - buy and hold, and looks at nothing but
fundamentals.

BTW, does anybody know when 3Com bought the baseball field,
and how much money was spent on it? Millions of $$ spent?
I'm sure they've spent Millions of $$ on anykind of
advertising.

Joe,

You will be happy to know that COMS was inbetween 27 adn 27 1/2 in afterhours on unusally heavy coms after hours volume.. actually I shouldn't say volume, but I should say # of trades. Key difference..

So it looks like we will hold this level, and maybe even gap up a 1/4 pt in the morning...
