How many shares are you short? How much money do you have? What does it take for you live for a year or so? <g>

I hope you make some money. One article I read said some analysts were maintaining holds and sells on MU. Wasn't clear if that was after today's news, but it sure sounded like it was.

keither, mu bought time. is it enough to get out of the desert, i don't know. with $2.25 billion in debt and $1.5 billion (i forgot to add the $800 million to $700 million in a prior post) in cash i don't see this as a raving buy, if you know what i mean.

they can last about another 1-1.5 years before they go bankrupt now. if the industry doesn't turn by then they are still toast. if it does then there is share dillution and the regular commodity pressures to deal with. 16 mb was a big loser. 64 mb is a big loser. systems on a chip are coming. looks dirty to me. but then again, you know how i feel ;-)

it could go either way, but long term i think it goes down.

Keither,

Don't worry about it. It is too late. Next time take out an insurance policy of some out of money calls. This way you don't have to worry at night.

I don't think anyone knows the long term value but I do believe in the short term they will look at this deal as extremely positive. If you can live with whatever the opening price is, just take it and move on b/c I think for the next few months MU stock will be all over the place. Fortunate for you the SOX is still in trouble. If we were in a rebound mode news like this would cause a company to soar. TXN should definitely go up with the deal they got. In the past MU was known to move 4-7 points up at the open.
