It's very likely Ancor will partner or be absorbed at some point in time. After all, isn't this the norm in the industry? It appears a lot of people are surmising things and are making assumptions that just aren't accurate. Should by chance IBM not select Ancor as its' primary OEM, is not necessarily derogatory for Ancor. There are many potential OEM's worldwide and IBM is becoming less and less a precedent setter in the information industry. Ancor, on the other hand playing a major role in IBM, which is what many would ultimately prefer could preclude Ancor from other potential OEM customers. Though I would agree we could be in the midst of a crisis given the roughly 70% decline over the past 3 months in share price, the party in reality has hardly begun and people are already attempting to decide who's going to explode and who's going to blow up! It's a known fact major OEM's like IBM work with multiple vendors. It's also a known fact IBM's Global Systems Division favors Ancor, yet, some folks have already decided otherwise. Ancor indeed could fail as can any other speculative small cap company and that's simply the risk an investor must take. Lack of press releases and anticipation of IBM's supposed doomsday decision along with anticipation of bad Q2 and Q3 revenues and a negative feeding frenzy account for the panic selling, IMO. Finally, Y2K overall is consuming resources to the detriment of new technology deployment. TG
