True. But IMO, I say screw what is "normally" done! After-market announcements of major importance do nothing to level the playing field. Such announcements only serve to render investors/traders relatively helpless vis-a'-vis those making the announcements.

Only little investors hear the news after it was announced... What about the smart money? Could they have known before the market close?

I think they do, We are left holding the bag if there is anything left in it.
