Alan,
while bobby is far sharper than I in many things, I questioned his working of gold vs dollar.I believe a stronger dollar drives lower gold(when valued in dollar terms).A weaker dollar will drive higher POG, to the end where those who do not understand inter-workings
of curriencies will cause a rush to buy gold driving it yet higher.
Bobby, (If I understand his point correctly) took the other side.

Alan--
I ask a lot of questions..boy have I been wrong...
ie ..I have concentrated until lately on the deflationary affects
and the distribution of wealth in this country with the monied getting
more monied and the people on fixed income getting whacked for their
"prudence" and the middle class also getting it..
I have viewed the economy in my area of the country..after talking to
more and more people in other parts of the country,I started realizing
that there have been a great deal of good jobs created in the meantime..
also somebody on this thread..ahhaha..has posed enough points that
at times I feel like crawling under a big rock..(ps disclaimer..I am
no syncophant!!!!and will continue to disagree when I have conflicting
views..even it is with myself
ps..hope BBB is watching over us!
