3Dfx Interactive Reaffirms Strong Market for 3D Gaming
Platform

3Dfx Responds to Concerns of Market Saturation and Reduction in
Business From

Important OEM

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- 3Dfx Interactive(TM), Inc.
(Nasdaq: TDFX) today reaffirmed that it believes that the market for its
latest generation graphics chipset for 3D gaming, Voodoo2(TM), will
continue to be strong and that it has not reached a saturation point.
Despite published reports that Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc., an
important supplier for Voodoo2-based board products, will reduce its
Voodoo2 shipments during the, 3Dfx Interactive believes that shipments
to Diamond will be in line with its forecasts. In addition, 3Dfx Interactive is
comfortable with the current inventory levels reported to 3Dfx of Voodoo2
products in the channel.

"We believe that there is continued market acceptance of 3Dfx products,
and we are beginning to see a broadening of our markets," said Greg
Ballard, chief executive officer and president of 3Dfx Interactive.

gamer but also a large and quickly growing assortment of 3D games and
considerable consumer brand recognition."
