Yes I need a break on my Internet shorts! I am shorts all of the ones that have been going up like crazy: YHOO, XCIT, LCOS, AOL. Hope the internet craze will come to an end just like the y2k did.

Is AOL's new offering a convertible? the news on that was very sketchy. SO the game plan looks pretty good in the hindsight:

-spread a rumor about AOL buyout by AT&T in London News-rag
-that kicks the stock up by about 10 points from where it closed a few days back
-then neither confirm nor deny such an offer was made but send a letter saying that they want to stay independent
-Now come up with a huge debt offering so that the stock at worst will go to the level seen a few days back, also make sure to announce in the week of options expiration where the stock has pressure to close about 90 (which is a price higher than the trade price two days back.

That I call actively supporting the stock....
