If it drops further, I'll accumulate more. Repurchased 300 @ 17 5/8, watched it go to 19 then promptly plummet. Strangely enough, I view 3dfx as one of the few semis relatively insulated from the Asian contagion. Probably most of their market is US-based with some growing Euro faction. And you just can't argue with the earnings. People assume they won't be able to keep earnings this high. I say enjoy the earnings now and buy the stock in the teens.

Actually they responded to the "factual" reasons for the downgrade rather than the downgrade itself which is of course an opinion from an "analyst" who has been reaching for a "reason" to dump on a stock for which they probably won't be able to continue to do business with from an investment banking point of view now that DLJ has stepped up to the plate. Sorry for the long "sentence"! Joe C.
