the sentiment in your post is right and as i posted before.. to someone else... prudent people who know the difference..
they do their own homework and do not rely on "the fool" or any other column that one can subscribe to for complete answers to financial freedom, or large gains. I may find a good book for you... i read one recently about the % that "stock picking" newsletters and such were correct or beat the averages over what period. anomolies are just that.
Anyone can beat their chests that they had, could have had or were winners.
If I held certain positions longer, i would be broke, if i held others longer i would be extremely rich. exacting the amount of money that makes one happy for the effort and time held makes ones decisions easy to swallow and allows one to sleep at night.
my suggestion to anyone who wants to be an investor and not a day trading "scalper" is to read books... there are plenty of them out there. Written by both winners and losers.
