Northforce,

I think Taichi is correct on his Flynn.... as in Errol. Being "in like Flynn" goes back to the 40's when Errol Flynn was shtooping(sic) everything of every age and getting away with it. The moniker probably came directly from highly publisized and controversial statutory rape case he beat back in 1942(were they 15 or 16 yrs old? Betty Hanson and Peggy Satterlee that is.). To be in like Flynn was to do whomever or whatever and get away with it.... like Flynn did. From the AFU and Urban Legend Archive....."The phrase "in like Flynn" originated as a course reference to Errol Flynns powers as a seducer".

Northforce, thanks for the RCR article. That really seems to wrap it up and underscores that DOT/VLSI are producing 'All In the Family' IS-95 ASICs with, of course, license fees flowing on to the good guys in San Diego. I thought that had to be the case, but the Chronicle article seemed to tilt the other way. Over and out. Mike Doyle
