Meat, I shall lose my sleep that you don't believe me. Like I really really care. Obviously you don't believe your ex-God either! But time would tell, wouldn't it.

Oh, by the way, was it you I talked to about the % of consumer vs biz market? My confusion was because I lump small business with consumer and the total of the 2 is about 2/3 or 70%. Right? Now an OEM that should remain nameless doesn't play in either big time, right? Ok...

Now is Katmai/Coppermine on the desktop roadmap or server?

M,

'Herr Oberclockmeister' has already run at 700M (I think), so your >600M is already there. Come-on, now, you really meant 1G didn't you! Oh, I forgot, 'if you reveal that information, you would have to kill me'!

500W power supply, ah? Now that WILL power some STUFF! (How much of that 500W will be used to run the 'cooling' fans?)

Regards,

Ken

Meat -
you forgot to mention memory going to 16MB soon with HW architecture support for 64GB, and MSFT support for 36 bit addressing in NT, probably in NT4 SP4 which is in final test now. This increase in memory size has shown 10 to 20X preformance improvements in some applications. And that's without RAMBUS. Lots of fun stuff coming down the pike.
