I believe the anger some have expressed in view of today's release is absolutely justified. Putting out yesterday's positive release(s?) on the eve of this astonishingly bad report is just too blatant for words. If it wasn't manipulation, then it surely had the same effect in beguiling those of us who didn't know to play the two-day roller coaster. Now the coaster will almost surely fly off its track and badly injure us tomorrow. Nearly two years of patience (for a number of us on this thread, I imagine) have thusly been tossed to the wind.

I have asked the CFO more than once this year whether the company will step in to defend the share price if it descends to an unreasonable point. While answering evasively, she has previously acknowledged that something would be done if the stock melted down far enough. They surely have the cash. Tomorrow would be a good day to announce a buyback.

Good luck all,

Chris

To:Sandisk Board

Revenues below first quarter 98. Earnings per share slightly positive from first quarter 98. Sorry for my ignorace but this is not a major earnings shortfall... Think back to oct 97 Sandisk reports excellent earnings and the stock tanks. My personal opinon this stock has already hit bottom. Sorry no chance of buying below 14. This stock is on the way back up. I thought i would try to post a positive spin on things........... Alot of those puts especially the July 15 will probably expire worthless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guy named Tom Eleazer, VP of Marketing for Peripheral Enhancements Corporation, is quoted in a company press release: "Digital Cameras represent the fastest growing consumer market in the world today." I wonder where there guy gets his data? He is marketing SNAPZ digital film products.
