John: Do you have the latest ICQ version? I know they posted an update a few weeks ago. That could be your problem.

Let's try to schedule an hour or so when I can come over to your house to play. With the CD, that is.

John,

Win98 is known to have lots of bugs in it. Most techie types I know plan on waiting until after a few releases have come out before installing it, to avoid the major holes. Win98 is kind of like a hybrid between WinNT and Win95. If the Win95 version of ICQ is killing you, see if there's a WinNT version available and try that. If not, reinstall the Win95 one. Send a note off to Mirabilis if you can't get it to work. They should know what they support. ICQ is their product.

Any ideas?

Yeah, John. I have an idea. I have an idea that you are trying to cast doubt on an acknowledged leader in the chat software area. I have an idea that unavailable software can always be said to work flawlessly. I have an idea that unreleased, unavailable software is almost always more feature rich than software already in market. I have an idea that whenever WIN 98 is made generally available and everyone is using it that I am sure that ICQ will not likely have any problems.

I have an idea that when CSHK ever gets around to releasing their "chat software" we will see what the Emperor is really wearing.
