just some info from sureform5 Jun 19 199812:19AM EDT just some meaningless info for you. i am a shareholder. Went to college with the son of the Eurpean VP (Nida). Caught a Padres game with him while he was out here in San Diego for the conference (played the Cards, I think it was McGwires 27th or 28th HR). His son and I dropped in on him at his hotel. He was talking to two people from Israel, don't know there position, however they seemed like more than just reps. Afterward he said that he had been having meetings with these types of people from different countries since 5 a.m. and that he could only make a few innings. Was off to another conference in San Fran. Without prying to much got the following info: He's in deep, has a lot riding on this and isn't bailing anytime soon. Mentioned that VVUS was actually looking at ICOS at some point (I brought this up, it was around their big jump in price), he said they passed because ICOS is longer than everyone thinks from the market. His son later mentioned that dad talked buyout was possible. And that's that. This little anecdote is true however seemingly worthless. Just thought I'd share.
