Anyone care to enlighten me why the Dell July 80, 90 and 95 puts dropped in price today with the price of the stock. Normally, they go opposite directions!

Looks like SI needs to buy some more DELL computers. I think we overloaded the system tonight!

Two questions...

1. Do you understand Intel's strategy and the markets they serve?
2. Do you understand Dell's strategy and the markets they serve?

I don't think you have a clue. There are noteable differences
you know.

Well hello, purveyor of FUD!

You've been a member of SI since 1996, longer than I. So...

Who were you before you became Techie in order to spam the DELL thread?

What thread were you spamming before you came here?

Just curious...

Techie -
Not sure I understand your point here. Intel is moving the low cost chips to BGA (surface mount) to capture some embedded sales (drives up chip volume and can use lower speed parts so the whole of the speed distribution gets sold), and also both of the current 'standard' MB connector designs. This is just the 'capture the value' phase - as chip yields go up and volume starts to build, Intel wants to efficiently harvest all of the potential sales opportunities.

What is the impact on Dell, in your opinion?
