You want to visit a nice city? Come to San Antonio, Strait Country.

8th largest city in the country (just surpassed Dallas recently). Laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Great climate 362 days of the year.

Yes we too have our problems with pollution. Just recently we encountered the smoke from the Amazonian fires and had to go on alert and I think pay a federal fine or two. Other than that I breathe easy.

If you use a lot of water you may want to spend the summer elsewhere as we do find it necessary to ration our supply at times. We do a pretty good job and learn a lot about conservation in the process.

Oh yeah, plenty of room for a large pet in the back yard.

On, no, Terry, I've been absolutely serious.

The particular odor of the air is as important here as the brand of mineral water you serve your guests. This is important stuff!

BTW, I looked-up Zulu-Tek's location on my Thomas Guide. (For non-Californians, Thomas Guides are incredibly thick and detailed map books. The one for L.A./Orange County is some several hundred pages. Nobody around here would be caught dead with a fold-out map. Or the wrong mineral water or the wrong flavor of air.)

Almost 1/2 of El Segundo is taken-up by the Standard Oil refinary, which stretches from Rosecrans Avenue to the south, to El Segundo Blvd. to the north, and runs almost all the way to the ocean to the west. It looks like Sepulvada Blvd. may be the eastern boundry of the refinary, with other industrial use (I note a street called "Hughes Way", and a LOT of railroad tracks) to the east of Sepulvada to the border at Aviation Blvd. The northern 1/3 of El Segundo, nort of El. Segundo Blvd appears to be residential.

Zulu-Tek is located on Rosecrans Avenue, east of Sepulveda. It looks like there might be a small industrial park north of that, and it appears that everything North of that may be Hughes. It appears that Zulu-Tek has GOOD railroad access, and could probably install a siding if they wanted - important for shipping all those Internet advertisements.

Incongruously plopped down in the middle of Hughes and the Standard Oil Refinary the the El Segundo Golf Course. Fore! Hack, hack, cough!

On the south side of Rosecrans Avenue is Manhattan Beach. In fact, there appear to be some nice hotels and amenities directly south of Zulu-Tek. (Raddison Plaza, with a Raddison Plaza Golf Course, Manhattan Beach Country Club, Barnabeys Hotel, Manhattan Village, a shopping mall I'll bet.

I suppose this stuff is all here on the theory that if you HAVE to visit an oil refinary, you really need a place with GOOD showers at the end of the day.

And Mr. Burns DOES like to live well, but still within view of the plant.

(Fair warning - I have to leave for San Jose in about 1/2 hour, and will have to leave this thread on "auto pilot". Please take advantage of the situation and don't say any more than usual that requires my counterpoint. I will try to take reconnasainse photos over El Segundo...)
