News Release NEWS RELEASE June 22, 1998 JABA Inc. (JBA-ASE) announces that Dr. Miles L. 'Bill' Silberman, a jasperoid - 'Nevada Gold' expert, and Dr. Gus Armstrong, a renowned authority on carbonate stratigraphy and replacement mechanisms, reported on June 15 to JABA's Apache project area in southeastern Arizona. Both, until recently with the United States Geological Survey, have begun a 20-man-day mapping and geochemical sampling program. Apache is a Carlin-analog limestone-hosted gold-silver occurrence that has been one of JABA's prime holdings. It includes a past gold-producing mine (the Great American), comprises 3 square kilometers of bold jasperoid veins, mantos, and irregular replacement-body outcrops, and has been partially grid-sampled by JABA in 1997 to reveal Carlin-like zoned geochemical anomalies in Au-Ag-As-Sb-Hg and Mo. Silberman and JABA's Chairman John Guilbert visited the jasperoids earlier this year, and Silberman was sufficiently impressed with their multi-generational epithermal aspect to recommend the mapping plan. JABA is exploring the tract for both high-grade structurally controlled gold occurrences like the Great American and larger tonnages of mineable gold-silver in or associated with the jasperoids. Part of a much larger precious metal region, the Apache area has been largely bypassed by explorationists, but has been a little-known, secluded field geology teaching area. Silberman and Armstrong have been retained by JABA to apply their expertise in identifying favorable lithologic and structural target areas within the larger jasperoid field. A drill campaign of twelve holes in the Great American mine area in late 1996 and early 1997 revealed several intercepts of gold in jasperoid, but less areal extent of 1- to 2-gram-per-tonne material was found than was expected. Silberman's and Armstong's mapping- and geochem-based evaluation is expected to define new and significant detailed target sites for the next drilling program. Their base map is high-resolution, precisely geo- referenced photomosaics produced by JABA's computer mapping team from aerial photographs flown early in June. On behalf of the Board, James A.
