Even then, selling stocks short is still so widely viewed as unpatriotic, (rather than seen
as contributing to the efficiency of the markets). Still, it is unbelievable that in the
information age, we are kept in the dark on open short interest so much.

Tom,

Kind of amazing isn't it?

in their relentless efforts to maximize the profits they scrape away from small investors.
They are already losing parts of their information monopoly when information like level
2 quotes starts to become affordable.

I belkieve we agree this has been an unfair playing field.

BTW, happpy to see AMZN swinging your way. Its ahead of itself. FWIW, am still
long-term (i.e. 2 to 3 year) bull. I figure they've got connections & the power to end up
with a significant etailing market share, or that somebody with deep pockets may buy
them. As to where the price will be in 3 or 6 months, probably down some, but am
utterly clueless.

I am clueless too. My guess is no survival under present mangement as fundamentals appear now. I have no idea how they will appear in a year or even less.

Glenn

I have to tell you, yesterday I was liberated.

Mostly a lurker on this thread, I must have read over 2000 posts giving reasons as to why AMZN is going up or down. Then finally I saw this - exchange2000.com

I just wonder why the truth is so hard to come by. I mean it was fun reading all that BS about rationalizing the increase based on fundamentals(no truth), short squeezes(some truth), MM manipulation (a lot of truth), but I never knew why.

Thanks.
