Michael,..Re:<< interesting article >>

Thanks for the article. It had some interesting comments that contradict other remarks we keep hearing.

Customization coming trend

Comments by Otellini - "Technology is becoming the most important competitive differentiator in small business," "There is a direct correlation between growing revenue 'per head' and deploying personal computers and deploying them in a networked fashion."

Also - Information technology accounts for approximately 1.7 percent of the GDP of the largest 20 national economies. In a few years, IT spending will account for more than 3 percent of the world's GDP.

Two interesting articles in today's local paper, a small computer software company here in North Fulton has leased a fleet of BMWs for it's 40 full time employees to try to keep key personnel. In metro Atlanta, 20k IT jobs remain unfilled so it looks like a carrot to keep the people they did find.

Lee

And who is better positioned to take advantage of these trends?

If Techie, Bilow and Halla are correct, Intel is full of it. After
all, Techie's mantra has been that the market is converging to ONE platform not many. 70% of all PC's will be sub-1000 within 12 months. Integration and lack of advancements on the hardware and software fronts are supposed to be the driver of this brave new
world.<gggg>

MW,

Thanks for the link! Now let me ask if you could name a company, with a low enough inventory, and a high inventory turnover rate that could possibly take advantage of the upcoming technology advancements?

I will make this a bit easier, by making it 'multiple-choice':

A) Compaq
B) DELL
c) IBM
D) Hewlett Packard
E) All of the above

And the answer is? ______

Regards,

Ken
