All: Please post a summary of Sierk's appearance on CNBC if you get a chance to watch it - would be of immense help to all of us at work.

I now understand what they mean by the cockroach theory :-(

Bill, Sometimes a serious wake-up-call to these companies works wonders. I hope the management at IOM can heed the signs and turn this aircraft carrier around. They are obviously headed in the wrong direction.

Every publication I read mentions the Zip drive as if it is the standard of the industry. Compaq adding it to 7 of their 13 new models has to be extremely positive for media sales. Why can't they make money?

Let's hope management gets it done.

Dan

I was just over to the Apple thread and picked up an interesting URL:

megabytes.com

The writer was at the factory that will make iMac's. Apple's planning to crank out 200k iMacs before introduction in August and 600k by the end of the year. That's a lot of machines without floppies. I sure hope Iomega's ready with their USB Zip. Imation has already announced that they're going hot after the USB market. If Iomega screws this up - I'll be so mad I'll just spit!

Jeff

PS: There's also a thread item over there about Sony's new tiny notebook with USB AND firewire.
