Yo Captain, How can you say HDSL is going to die soon? What is going to replace it, fiber?, repeatered T1? I'm no expert but it sounds like its the most cost and time efficient solution for bandwidth at the local loop level. While I agree that Pair's 70% market share of HDSL probably can't hold. I find it hard to believe that it is about to die and fade away. If you or anybody else can show me that HDSL is about to be replaced, I would appreciate any info you can share. Thanks, JD

Hi Captain,

I respectively disagree with you on PAIR's HDSL.

HDSL and ADSL are targeting different markets with little overlap. The difference is much more than their bandwidth. If you said HDSL's revenue growth might be flat due to price pressures, I might agree with you. If you said ADSL might not be able to compete with cable modems, it is still too early for me to call. If you told me HDSL is going to die, it sounds like all T1/E1 related businesses are going to die and I respectively disagree with you on that.

Regards,
