PA, I would agree that the MM's are for the most part treating DCTC a bit different than in the recent past. I think that the effect is two fold. First, because of DCTC's valuation I sense that the MM's are more reluctant to take a short positions in DCTC. Watching the tape, I can sometimes see what appears to be large orders being filled (10K +), that seem to be getting filled as shares come in on the bid side instead of just shorting to fill the order. The second thought that comes to mind, is because of the buyers that seem to come in around the $2 level, the MM's are finding that they can't just tank our stock whenever they want to try and pick up really cheap shares to cover a short position. Hence the risk of taking a short position is perhaps not justified given the small spread available to cover. Just a few months ago, the MM's could take us down whenever they wanted and the resistance was minimal. I think that because the MM's know they have buying at the $2 level that they are also quick to take us down to that level whenever they have a position to move and the customer is willing to take about $2 for their shares. It's this type of manipulation of our stock that really makes me wish we were trading somewhere else... even though the MM's do appear to be treating us with a bit more respect these days.
