Bleeker

Having gotten my BA at Lehigh which is an all boys school, and my Masters at NYU where the Courant Institute of Mathematics is not a place that really attracts exciting women, the New School was a lot of fun. Mainly it attracts foreign students. The faculty originally was composed of European emigrees from World War II.

They really are against capitalism particularly in the Economics Department and are big on class struggle etc. etc. Interestingly enough, the head of the Economics Department while I was there who has since died unfortunately at a very young age had his residence in a seedy part of town near Thompkins Square. Juliani has cleaned this up now but it was a hot bed of protests at the time and also off-off-off broadway theater. But this guy who was the head of the department, owned his building and inside it was like a palace with a wine cellar etc. etc. So much for talking the talk and walking the walk.

I am glad to see that Aloha got his correction without the need for worldwide economic disaster.

You may well be right about what happens on Monday but it could go the other way also.

I thought two other Japanese indexes were king ... price of a coke in a can, and price of a taxicab from Tokyo airport to the downtown ... the cost of horsemeat is inflated in Japan and thereby distorts the BigMac index

bought a sizeable position in THQ today on the pullback
