Jim, my theory is that $2 fall from open and lack of movement is due in most measure to the fact that (1) June options expire today and that (2) by far, the greatest put and call interest is at $55 per share. People who sell puts and calls have a vested interest in seeing options expire either out of or at the money, and if TXN closes at $55 or very close to that level either way, then option sellers will be happy (option buyers - well that's a different story). Monday will be a different day.
