MM bought calls and they are keeping the price up while closing
their calls to collect their money? I would appreciate your response.


Sanzen,

The MM did not buy calls. They sold calls to the public which apparently bought them to play AMZN long with the momentum. The MMs are in a sense short the stock for the calls they sold. The owners of these calls who have a profit, will either close their calls with the MMs for cash or take the stock. The MMs have to come up with enough stock to fill the demand for assignment.
