Here is a great article from the ISLI thread. I think it explains all the action the last two days.

briefing.com

I wonder if everyone called their certs, what that would do to the shorters? They will cover, it would just be fun to watch them try all at once! The thing I have always loved about this stock is how it gaps up. This should just be magnified in the future.

Arrow Hd. - I aim to target a reply post on Sunday that includes the key bullets from our (UK) weekend business press.

No steer to be found in the UK Sunday Business Papers - not a single mention from what I could see. Much focus on the G7 meeting - which should give all us investors a choppy time in the markets on Mon. morning.

As to MIFGY::
Long term potential good - assuming that they do a good job of the merger and keep key staff. Further acquisitions in the short term may result in indigestion and may not be a smart move. I guess that the MIFGY/ISLI merger will take about 1 year to complete.

Shorter term - given the size of the merger the stock price may move on newsflow that signals how the merger is progressing. MIFGY do not have good PR ability and know how to manage The Street.

I feel the merged entity is worth a multiple of 25 now. Depending on what P/E to assign to ISLI (given that they have had only 1 profitable Q) - this could make the merged entity way undervalued.

Seems that the buyers were outnumbering the sellers at market close on Friday. Lets hope we see this continue into Monday and beyond
