Actually, I'm attempting to become a competent Daytrader, as well as a mid/long term investor. It's taken an incredible amount of discipline so far, and I'm still learning the finer points, as well as some basics I've occasionally missed along the way.

Soooooooo much to learn, even though I've been seriously studying the market daily for a year and a half, and the market in general for many years. Learning to do good TA, now trying to do great TA and FA. Putting in DD time on EVERYTHING you want to invest in is no small job. Good thing I LOOOOVE the market and investing, otherwise it would be one heckuva job .

The thing I've found most helpful in learning how to invest, is to keep studying the basics, and keep repeating and going over them so that you don't make the STUPID mistakes you'll wish you avoided later. Never beat yourself up over not getting the absolute lowest price,,,,those prices are generally reserved for the MM's anyway. If you always get the highest prices, then you probably have some a lot of learning to do.

Don't be afraid of being imperfect in investing, just make sure you're approach is going to make you money in the long run, otherwise it's time to get out or go to a professional. I lost some money last year, as I graduated from paper trading to realife trading. And the OTC's were my biggest killer. Lack of disclosure, is the biggest problem with BB's, but that's why I decided to take another shot on an OTC with TSIG,,,,I got 90% of everything I was looking for info wise, and even though the picture of the past is downright disgusting, I know what competent management can do to a company. The thing I see with TSIG is that the new management of TSIG's core business of Teleservices is AT LEAST more competent than average. The CC area of the business is promising, but there is still too much we don't know, and Won't know until CC has been online and operating for 3-4 months.
I figure competent management will turn around the teleservices department in 14 months, and probably less,,,maybe even by the end of the year. Once the new management has shown it's stuff, good OR bad, I figure the earliest you'll get the initial premium $$ for TSIG is Nov98 to as late as fall next year. Short term traders may get a spike in July, or in Sept/Oct, and I plan on selling a portion myself due to my own investing philosopy.

Anyway, to make a long story finally end, that's why I read this board everyday, and that's why I watch every tick up/down when I can,,,, daytrading is IMO an art as well as a discipline, and I have a lot to work on before I daytrade with any regularity. This is just my homework, and a joy as much as an aggrevation to participate.

Regards,
-Mark
