Brooke, I am trying to run a scan on qp2 looking for the obv crossing the 40 day ema. Here is what I came up with but I get charts from the scan where the obv crossed several days ago rather than the day I am scanning. When you get a chance can you tell me hat have I done wrong here?

input="volume.lst";
output="OBV Cross 40 Day EMA.lst";

if OBV(0)>EMovAvg(0,40,vol) and //On Balance Volume > 40 EMA

OBV(-1)<EMovAvg(-1,40,vol)

then

println symbol,",",description;

endif;

Thanks in advance.

Monty

Thanks Brooke:

You enjoying those chocolates?

I plan to visit your site a bunch this weekend. Will pick up Richard's breakout scan for sure (and others).

What about my question concerning "What the hay does this scan do?". Is there a brief explanation of some of these somewhere? Like I told Sean, I have no idea what I have now that I ran BNS. After looking at the first couple dozen charts, I still don't have a clue. Some are moving up, some down, prices all over the map, etc.
