Could the real point be that the boss was being extra rough on the salesman with the speech defect and needs sensitivity training? The real lesson of this story is that he found a solution to keeping his job and should be praised for overcoming a handicap which the others did not have.
We should learn that this is a positive story, not to be belittled!
