All,

I will send out some new batch files later...

some of stub programs such as qp_netlaunch are no longer required.

I finally figured out to use 'start /w' instead. Even gary had never heard of this one and came up with the hack solution. Its eliminates some redundant code. BTW: This only effect Win95 the behavior is different on Windows NT.

BTW: Who ever asked the Virutal question related to NT. vritual only works on 95 at the moment and you'll have to ask gary about it. I have asked and the answer varies depending on what day it is :)

Also QPV works over MS Networking with Most packages except GET. So I access Virtual data from Windows NT across the Network on a 95 box. Expect to pay a speed penalty....

Sean

More specifically, from

qp2.com

you can download stock and IRL data. Click on any file
you want to download and save it to disk. Change <whatever>.qpl
to <whatever>.zip for daily stock data; leave <whatever>.cdz
as is.

Then, if you get mutual funds, do the same thing in

qp2.com

but here change <whatever>.qpl to <whatever>.mfn

I download these to another directory for archiving,
then move the results to INCOMING. But I admit I haven't
figured out how to make QP2 process INCOMING without downloading
everything again. However, I get to keep my archives anyhow,
so I can rebuild eventually if necessary.

PS. You will be challenged for userid and password to access

How do you set up Netscape to save file instead of reading its content?
