But you see Jim, high end demand may not abate and Dell may not
stumble. Just keep in mind, the disasterous Dell scenarios you're dreaming about may not occur for a long, long, long time.

JP,

You what is really maddening about the 'experts' that recommend a computer system is that in the 'long' run the experts don't have to 'use' the systems that they recommend! The 'expert' evaluates all of the 'data' and make the recommendation. Sometimes the 'experts' are incorrect in their recommendations, and guess what, they get paid anyway! Next the poor company (soon to be 'poorer') purchases the recommended system, and since they paid the 'big' bucks to the 'experts', it 'must be the right system'. Several 'time periods pass' (days, weeks, months) and low and behold, the company finds out that the 'expert' system isn't performing as expected. Another round of purchasing, be it 'upgrading' or 'replacing', is initiated to get the systems to perform properly, costing the company more money!

I've seen it happen! I question 'experts'!

Regards,

Ken
