This is the start of an answer, but too vague to be
of much value. Are you referring to Etec's sales of
equipment to Dupont and PLAB, or their sales volumes?
Can you provide facts, or references, which give the
direct information about Etec's sales to these companies?
As always, I appreciate any direct information you, or
anyone else, can provide.

I'm not sure what you mean by competitive tool. If you mean
that they have room to lower prices to compete effectively,
I'm sure there is some truth in this. However, if they are in
such a position that they have to lower prices to remain
competitve with their Japanese competitors, this would make
Etec a much less attractive investment. I want to make it clear
that I am not claiming this is the case, I have no information
which would support this position, so it is pure speculation.
It is only a question in response to Robert's post.
