I'm long EDII...I agree that that is a lousy press release, and seems to say that EDII has gotten an $800,000 line of credit, and seems to then go on to include a sentence mentioning a fact about bank policy conceivably irrelevant to EDII-- that the maximum line of credit that that bank extends is $18,000,000. There are three possible explanations for that press release as I see it, and I'd be interested to hear your reaction to my thoughts about it. One, it was an intentional and "scammy" attempt to deceive. I think it's too lame to be that, myself, and besides, see number three below. Two, the person who wrote it isn't good at his job, and can't tell irrelevant background material about the damn bank from the material fact that EDII got a simple $800,000 line of credit. Three, the person who wrote it isn't good at his job, and can't clearly word a press release that was supposed to convey that EDII has just received an $800,000 increment of an $18,000,000 line of credit to fund one of its subsidiaries. I think the third is the case, because of this line from the press release:Energy Drilling Industries Inc. intends to use additional funds of its line of credit to acquire three previously announced acquisitions, Acqueren Inc., Cinema Research Corp., and Intile Designs Inc [OTC BB:IDES - news]. ------ And we know from the press release that the $800k is going to "one of the subsidiaries of EDII" -- not for those acquistions. What do you think when you look at it this way, jhild? Have I convinced you at all that what we have here is "innocent" incompetence in the field of writing clear press releases? Elsa
