Yes, that is true..Technicians use different parameters, but the ones I am using are the norm, and generally accepted by some of the best traders...(Jeff Cooper, Larry Connors)....regards, Mark

Double E -

A little more on the TA topic:

There are a lot of indicators, patterns, time parameters, trading rules, and data timeframes that you can use, which is why there are so many combinations of TA used out there, and why you'll never find two technicians that trade exactly the same!

A lot of what you see when you use TA depends on the data timeframe you use. For instance, my MACD indicators actually showed a brand new buy signal on SNRS on Friday. Will I buy SNRS on Monday? No... I use weekly data for all of my trading, and the same MACD indicator applied to weekly data shows that SNRS is not yet in an uptrend (the MACD indicator is similar to TATrader's DMI/ADX indicators, which I also use...).

So, the daily chart says to buy... the weekly chart says to stay on the sideline. Which one do you follow? It's your pick, based on how often you want your buy/sell signals, how accurate you need your trading system to be, and how long you want your typical trades to last. Like I said, the combinations (and possibilities) are endless...

Good luck with your own investing...
