I don't know - Intel occasionally surprises and does dramatic smart things. Craig Barrett is capable of such as evidenced by the DEC settlement-with-fab deal.

Why not post a proposal here naming the company and any other details that you feel are pertinent.

I'm not going to be that presumptuous. Intel can better figure out its own business. If they are interested they can better find the right deal without amateur advice.

Why not go after Cisco and get a "cut" of all the switches being sold?

Great Idea!, but not an original one. Someone ask this question at the Stockholders meeting and got a very terse, "No Comment" from Craig. In fact it was too much too short! As a result I've been mesmerized with this thought since. I think it would be fantastic. Let's hope their talking.
