Bob, have you ever taken a course in physical chemistry or thermodynamics? Please don't expound on things you know nothing about. An open system is a one upon which outside forces operate. The earth is an open system because it receives energy from the sun. This allows a localized decrease in entropy on the earth, but the entropy of the solar system is increasing due to the decay of the sun. That is the truth. That is incontrovertible. Show me one physical chemist or physicist who disagrees with that statement. It was you who used the specious arguments of the second and third laws of thermodynamics. I simply pointed out that you neither understand entropy no enthalpy nor do you understand the rudimentary concepts underpinning the kinetic theory of gases. So why are you arguing physical chemistry with me. Better if you would read a physical chemistry textbook than try to make science up. If you want, I can recommend a dozen or so. Your problem is you insist on believing without evidence and you call that faith and then you pervert science to fit into your preconceived world view. How you hope to learn and grow under those circumstances is a mystery to me. If you choose to believe in a creator, that's fine. But don't pervert scientific theory to justify your religious prejudices.
