Yes, DSL. You and I are on the same page. The local Bells are holding the Tech industry hostage. One reason Gates has been investing so heavily in Cable and Satellite companies.

I hope Sprint's new tariff approach will work. I requires regulators to force the Bell company to rent Sprint space in a Bell switching office for a DSL board and sell Sprint the local loop. This instead of paying them inter-connect charges. The capacity of ten phone lines for the cost of one, with multiple number thrown in for free.

Asking how Microsoft can keep growing is like asking how GE can grow past appliances and electrical generating equipment. Then GE started buying television stations and networks, and became the largest finance company in the world. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft moves beyond software. But for another five years at least they should be able to find all of their growth there.

Can you elucidate on your statement that TC/IP in Windows 95 and $20 unlimited access were the main roadblocks to Internet expansion? Obviously they were big factors in making it popular and increasing the load on the system, but how do these (or DSL) block expansion?
