I hold 16 shares for every share I bought.< By the way what year was it that you you started buying AMAT? >I've been through situations like this before, and I am now scrounging around for every dollar I can find to buy more.< Since you and I went through the last cycle together were the previous cycles similar or different? >The fundamentals have not changed. AMAT is a great company in an industry with a great future.< I totally agree with your assessment. >If one thinks the chip revolution is over, he shouldn't mess with this stock.< With the liquid TV and HDTV and other electronics coming down the pipe in the near future I would say that we have to at least 2006 with the current technology. Are there electrical and or computer engineer on this site who can give us additional information what is ahead for us technology investor as to the future of technology 10+ years in the future and specifically for AMAT? >Since the value is there, I don't look for the bottom. I'll get mine at whatever price I pay for the stock.< I bought my kids AMAT at $33 for their IRA and Roth IRA figuring that 29.5 years from now the compounding interest at 25% would be approx. $2.5 million for each of them. However, I started buying additional shares for myself and wife at $26.875 and will buy additional shares during the next 4 weeks.
