Re -- On what do you base this assertion? (Cisco filing counter patent infringement suit).

On the fact that
-- Cisco has very few patents
-- Most of LU's products were voice based and Cisco's data based.
-- LU has been at it for decades, Cisco is a new comer.

Re -- Why do think they didn't look closely already?
Because Cisco's algorithms and code and hardware is not widely available (open) to examine

Re -- If Cisco feels they have even 1 or 2 patents, basic to some aspect of networking that would be contained in LU products,

Also see the response to the suit. And considering the fact that they have been talking for 18 months makes this unlikely.

Re -- relative to what other networkers like ASND, NN, BAY, COMS,
etc.

Most of the other networkers products are based on open standards. thus the impact is not as great as Cisco's.

Will not beat this over and over, and will reply when there is something else of substance.
