Don:

The bible contains numerous unscientific facts, false statements which are known to be erroneous today and primitive assumptions and assertions which are just plain wrong. Some of these errors are ascribed to god himself.

Hi Don,

As an ex dog breeder I well understand your post. But there are two errors that you are making. First, those dogs are members of a single species (because they share a common gene pool). Second, those breeds were the result of selection by breeders, not natural selection. But your point that evolution can occur rapidly is true. Even speciation has been seen in some animals over the past few hundred years, so it can occur quickly.

The rate of evolution within a population varies inversely with the size of the population. So a beneficial mutation will take longer to spread in a large population than a small one.

I don't know of any science that was predicted in the Bible. Perhaps you could provide me with some examples. I do know of many statements that are in absolute conflict with our current understanding of science.
