May 27, 1998 -- MiTAC Incorporated and Netscape recently signed an Electronic Commerce Cooperation pact to
capitalize on the booming Internet market in Asia Pacific region. Internet commerce is expected to generate well over
US$333billion within the next five years.

MiTAC will offer its expertise in system integration and expert knowledge of the region, while Netscape will provide its
expertise in Internet software. Together, the two companies will offer full-scale EC solution and service to corporate
users. Netscape will provide product, technology and consulting while MiTAC will offer tailor-made applications and
after-service to meet clients' needs.

Currently, MiTAC Inc. & Netscape are working together on the "ECXpert", the core component of Netscape's EC series,
to develop relevant applications. Afterwards, the product line will extend to "Seller Xpert", "Buyer Xpert", "Merchant
Xpert", and "Publishing Xpert" etc.

Don't see anything in here that particularly relates to MSU technology, but MITAC certainly has the capability to provide necessary hardware to those lacking the funds for a full-blown computer system.

The MSR-210 simply takes home entertainment to new heights

Taipei, March 31, 1998 -- MiTAC Inc., a worldwide computer expert in the fields of industrial, commercial, and distribution channels, has taken the wraps off its first "free-to-air" Set-Top Box. This marks a milestone in the company's drive as a major player in the realm of 3C and highlights its prowess in own design and manufacturing capabilities.

"As the digital world is no longer a dream, TV digitization through the Set-Top Box is obviously a trend in the near future," says Albert Lee, Vice President at MiTAC International Business Center. "With a solid grounding in R&D, manufacturing, and global channels, we believe the time is ripe for us to become fully involved in the digital consumer electronics business."

MiTAC MSR-210 is a DVB-S compliant Set-Top Box. Also compliant with the MPEG-II standard, the new Set-Top Box comes with a wide range of signals and PAL/NTSC capabilities, thus making it easy for everyone to receive a multitude of programs on the air. An especially designed and intuitive user interface makes the device very easy to install and
operate.

According to Albert, MiTAC MSR-210 simply takes home entertainment to new heights. "All you have to do is place the box on your TV set, plug the cable and start to enjoy the services the box offers you," he claims.

The MSR-210 free-to-air Set-Top Box heralds MiTAC Inc.'s full commitment in the digital TV business. Other plans are in the works, says its vice president. Target markets for this premier offering are Asia and Europe. The Set-Top Box will be ready for mass production in June, samples of which will be available in April.

The company also plans to launch an enhanced model with "conditional access" in the 4th quarter of this year. Sporting a smart card and designed especially for DTH service providers, it will offer a multitude of channels.

The company also offers other 3C products namely MITACWEB and a GPS smart antenna and engine board.
