September 1996, take a look at AMAT price back then.

It is almost automatic that when we discuss historic stock prices, they are split adjusted. Pre-split numbers are totally irrelevant once the split data is updated.

It did reach $12.50 post split adjusted on Oct., 1996. That's when stock options were repriced for AMAT people.

Please check this chart re: AMAT's price over the past 3 years. AMAT traded south of 12 (split-adjusted) during the months of Jul/Aug/Sep ish '96. And, no, I'm not anxious... I still feel the train is headed south, a ride I can live with not taking.
