Factors leading to Yahoo's stock crash:

A) Netscape is now introducing "smart searching" directly into their browser. This feature is available _now_ if you get the latest version of netscape. You can just enter "stock quotes" or "tulip bulbs" and it will find the appropriate links from their OWN search engine.

B) Microsoft is about to launch their own search engine, and you can already check out their website to see the beta. I fully expect microsoft to include a "smart search" type feature in the next version of their browser.

When these two things happen, people wont ever type in www.yahoo.com or www.infoseek.com or www.excite.com or www.lycos.com. They'll just enter their search phrase into the URL box.

A Yahoo exec once bet another worker that he would have "Yahoo!" tattooed on his ass if the stock price ever went about 50, because he though it had no chance of ever occuring.

Insiders are selling tons of Yahoo.

Disney just bought 40 percent of infoseek for only 70 million in cash, about 1/10 of its current market cap.

It's going to be fun on the way down. :)
