** OT ** QDEK

>>> Noticed you had QDEK, listed as a long shot. I also noticed a volume spike in April associated with a pop to the upside. Any thoughts on QDEK would be appreciated. <<<

IMO, the April spike was primarily due to internet hype coupled with a daytrader recommendation and related activity. Quarterdeck is a pure gambling play. They have extreme competition, share dilution, financial weakness, etc. I've been holding some shares long and have traded it a few times, but I would not advise buying without doing extensive research and knowing the high risks. Take a look at the Quarterdeck thread here at SI and check out the posts from Jesse Livermore. He's pretty much a die-hard bull, but he's also a quite knowledgeable QDEK contributor.

>>> Are you banking on the long side of SYQT? <<<

<g> To answer your question: I've been long-term bearish on SYQT for the past few years and remain so today. Perhaps SyQuest will turn it around and make it to the big leagues some day. When and if that appears to be happening, I'll certainly be there for the ride. Until that time, you'll find me trading the stock.

Based on your question, I suspect that you might be new to following the SyQuest thread here at SI. I hope you go back and read through as many past posts as you can. If you're limited on time, you might begin with posts from around SyQuest's last earnings report date (April 28th). There are quite a few knowledgeable contributors here who have been following and researching SyQuest for quite some time. In addition, many good links have been posted referencing interesting information sources.
