If your cable company offers internet access, and not many do yet, a cable modem should be far superior to ISDN in regards to speed and cost. As they catch on and more sign up for it though, you will start to see a degradation in bandwidth speed. This is because you are in effect on one big party line with each subscriber vying for part of the bandwidth.

However, the cable modem option still should be far superior to ISDN. Now ASDL, that is another story!

Wish my cable company wasn't operating in the dark ages. Probably won't see cable internet access (No Virgina Media General) for 5 to 10 years.
