John, I agree, though I always try to do all my calculations in bits, because it is bit growth that is killing pricing, not unit growth. They are a long way from unit crossover.

That is why I laugh every time MU bulls get turned on when some Asian 16 Mbit fab is closed. If they are going to produce two to three times as many Mbits with 64 and 256 Mbit fabs, that isn't a plus. -g-
The same thing happened when the leaders phased out 4 Mbit fabs, and the bulls suckered in to mu stock then, too. My favorite comment came from some empty suit at Loomis, Sayles on CNBS. He recommended MU because with everyone closing 4 Mbit fabs, they would have that market all to themselves. And they let this goof manage money. -g-
