Here's a really good opinion piece about some of the challenges that the gaming industry faces over the coming year. It includes discussion about cloning, violence, single v. multiplayer, and more.

<<And then of course there is always the possibility that the quarter is shy, and we hoover in the $12-15 range for another 3 months but I sincerely doubt this is going to happen. >>

Or 2Q results will be twice the estimates and we'll hover in the $8-9 range! After the last earnings release, I don't think you can predict the price range for this stock under any scenario. I think that the current pricing assumes a blowout quarter, and uncertainty over Q3 and Q4 results will continue to depress the price. The Banshee announcement may help to stabilize the price though, provided that it is perceived to be best-of-class through 1Q'99. While I agree that this stock is undervalued based on its fundamentals, I think that it will continue to trend lower until TDFX management provides a solid product roadmap to support earnings estimates.

Paul, I hope you meant "hover". "Hoover" sounds very ominous (you know, that "slow, sucking sound you hear"). Even the thought of it is too depressing for words.:-)
