That would be a good analysis but offhand I can't think of a place where that data would be conveniently collected. I know that in the server space the units distribution is not a bell curve against ASP, it is skewed to the low end of the price band. By revenue the skew is exactly opposite, with a small number of large configurations at 10X or 15X the ASP. The combination of the two yields the ASP. I would think that desktops would be more gaussian since there is not the same opportunity for great disparity in price.
